Report this commentMy name is Jill Santos and I'm the current Miss Mendocino County from California. My platform is Music and Art Therapy for the Elderly and piano is the main source of therapy I provide for them, which is why finding these pianos was so special to me. I was in Boston for five days for an Alzheimer's Symposium at Harvard with my mom, and as soon as we learned about the pianos, we printed the map and searched for them all! Unfortunately we couldn't extend our trip anymore, but I did find 47 of them. It has been a wonderful adventure and experience playing in special places and meeting new people all over Boston. :)

Report this commentThis project could not have come to Boston at a better time. I needed a smile, and a break. Although only a few minutes long I had a moment to myself, a moment to loose myself in the notes of a song. I truly continue to think about how much the little things in life make a difference. I stopped on the way to class stressed, frustrated, and exhausted and I left with a smile on my face, a little less stressed. Thank you for bringing this project to Boston and thank you for listening!

Could this be Banksy? (I hope so!) Nothing starts your day at work as well as a public piano. Thank you for making my morning!

I spent an amazing afternoon walking with Tony DeBlois and his mother, Jan. Tony is blind, autistic and has Savant Syndrome. He is hoping to play all 75 pianos.
This certainly looks like a Banksy creation and with no credit given to the artist I'd be surprised if it was not produced by him.
Tony seemed to really enjoy the sound in this space. He played a long medley of Gershwin and then An American in Paris.

Thank you for starting this project. I believe that those who are lucky enough to stumble upon a moment where they are coincidentally involved in your installation would be something that they will take with them for the rest of their lives.

Is this a Banksy? Or is this a Banksy? A pleasant encounter of the usual rat image, on my way to the library, outside Harvard Law School. Perhaps one of the few instances I was happy to see the a rodent.
