Play Me, I'm Yours
Hangzhou: 2012
Touring internationally since 2008, Play Me, I’m Yours is artwork by British artist Luke Jerram. More than 700 pianos have now been installed in 34 cities across the globe, from New York to Sydney and now Los Angeles, bearing the simple invitation ‘Play Me, I’m Yours.’ The project has reached more than two million people worldwide, with each new city that commissions the work becoming part of a growing legacy.
From 5th to 15th November 2012 Guohua and FM968 together bring Play Me, I’m Yours to Hangzhou, China for the first time. Eighteen pianos, designed and decorated by student of China Academy of Art will be installed across Hangzhou for everyone to play. Click here to download a piano map (pdf), that indicates where the pianos are located.
This website was made for the public to post their comments, films and photos about the pianos. Whilst documenting each piano’s journey, the website will connect the pianos and their communities across the city. After being in place for eleven days, they will be donated to local schools and community groups. Choose a piano location to post and view films, photos and comments.
