Our piano-hunting group continued to grow as we visited more and more pianos. The Capitol Mall piano was #10 for us!

This is the eighth stop on Nick and Tristan's July 17th, 2012 bike tour of the Salem, Oregon-area, Play Me, I'm Yours, street pianos! At each of the 11 pianos both of us played a spontaneous composition (in one take only, mistakes and all!) and recorded a video. We started at 3:00 p.m., biked to each stop, and arrived at the last piano at 11:57 p.m. It was a bit dark here but we managed! Glad to be a part of this project and thanks to Luke Jerram for such a phenomenal idea!

Report this commentCommunity Action Agency HOME Youth & Resource Center received one of the 10 pianos to decorate, and spent time deciding colors and themes before plunging in.
They also took a special field trip to see their finished project just before it went on public display.
