Such a symmetrical piano needed to show its design!

Report this commentI'm a Boston singer/songwriter, and met so many great people with the street pianos. I ended up playing 53/75, and performed a different song at each piano, you can watch them all at

From a distance the whiteness of the piano looked so sublime, lit by the bright lights of the gas station - a perfect location, it could never shine like that anywhere else. With the translucent tarp in the back, it resembled a bride at the height of perfection. Too bad the picture turned out too blurry, but this abstraction from underneath the plastic "veil" reflects the mood of the moment.

Sally Wilson, ASID, playing her11th Street piano. Sally has a client down the street, and she is the artistic team leader, and designer of the Street Piano at the Mary Baker Eddy Library. Go pianists! Much fun afield in Cambridge.

Report this commentWhat a treat, to play on the street! Sorry to hear that this is only a temporary installation, but a wicked cool project, overall!

Just happened upon this dad and his son at the piano outside of Abodeon on Mass Ave. It was my first encounter with one of the street pianos. The little boy was really enjoying it, and making some good music.
