When the street pianos came to Boston I was new here, a freshman in college. Maybe it's what my friends and I now call "freshman syndrome" (becoming so excited to explore Boston when coming to college that you waste literally all of your money and time buying T tickets and exploring), but I felt like a kid in a playground. Listening to others play and watch them smile made this city sparkle. These pianos added whimsy and magic to the streets I was weary of. It made Boston home.

Report this commentMet so many great people with the street pianos. I ended up playing 53/75, and performed a different song at each piano, you can watch them all at

Report this commentThe Boston Minstrels have been Making Music with Heart since 1991 in shelters, VA hospitals, elder facilities, and prisons. We don't make our gigs public so it was great to get out in public to play!
