My name is Jill Santos and I'm the current Miss Mendocino County from California. My platform is Music and Art Therapy for the Elderly and piano is the main source of therapy I provide for them, which is why finding these pianos was so special to me. I was in Boston for five days for an Alzheimer's Symposium at Harvard with my mom, and as soon as we learned about the pianos, we printed the map and searched for them all! Unfortunately we couldn't extend our trip anymore, but I did find 47 of them. It has been a wonderful adventure and experience playing in special places and meeting new people all over Boston. :) This was the last one I went to, and I was really sad because I didn't get to find all $75, but some guy gave me money for playing at this one haha!

Report this commentI flew in and played 30 pianos in 3 days, this was the first and last piano I played. I like this little Wurlitzer a lot. It should live at Logan always.

Report this commentWith most street pianos covered on that rainy Sunday, it was not surprising to see Fabio appear at Logan. Here he added a harmonica to his performance.

Report this commentThat's where I first encountered Tony De Blois - playing at Logan on a rainy Sunday afternoon. He was flying high.

Report this commentWhy is the piano for East Boston In Terminal E?
Shouldn't it be in Maverick Market Place where all of these residents could enjoy it?
It is disappointing that East Boston is not even listed as a part of this city, just Logan Airport. Yet again we are overlooked.

Report this commentI had a great time playing for 20 minutes at Terminal E on Wednesday evening Oct 2. There were about 75 people there, and lot's taking video's photos. This Saturday I'm on a marathon to play as many pianos as possible.
They asked me to play at Rowes Wharf - Greenway & Fan Pier - Harbor Walk this Sunday at 3 pm & 4 pm.
I've looked at all the pianos on the website and this is the cutest and most unusual. Kudos to the artist for creating such an appropriate design for Logan Airport.
Hug thanks to Massport for funding this. (I tried to put together an on-going music performance program with Massport (at Terminal C, up above where you enter from Central Parking). My proposal was a schedule of individual musicians (classical, jazz, & world music) from the area music schools. I don't know why they weren't interested? It's such a good idea, and would add a peaceful & wonderful ambiance.

Report this commentBrilliant programme, it made me wish I knew who to play the piano. My daughter Evelyn jumped in and played the Nutcracker Suite.
