Local musician, Laurie Traveline Neyer joins award winning musician Jimmy D. Rogers on Sunday, August 8, at 3 pm for the very first “Front Porch Performance” at the Oxford Community Arts Center (OCAC).
Rogers’s unique blend of Boogie Woogie, R & B and Soul together with Traveline-Neyer's bluesy, soulful voice will keep you on your feet during this hour long performance.

This is not traditional chord progression style improvisation per se (though if anyone wants, we can do that), but a more of a modal style I worked up while playing informally at Purdue.
I might be interested in repeating same time and location the following day.

Cincinnati contra dancers will be converging on Fountain Square for a “contra flash mob.” The dancing will tie in with the “Play Me, I’m Yours” painted piano installation honoring a combined 150 years of public radio in the region. Pigtown Alley, a band with a pianist, will accompany the dancers.

The concert, scheduled for Sunday, August 22 at 3 pm is part of OCAC’s “Play Me, I’m Yours” piano project.
Although Runyon’s doctorate is in French literature he has worked as a professional musician most of his adult life, holding organist jobs in Cincinnati, Baltimore and Boston. During the one hour concert Randy will play everything from classical to ragtime.
