You Rock, Jeremy! I'm hitting this one later today, and I just liberated a folding chair from my office for the same purpose. Thanks for the suggestion.
If you should see this: which one are you going to play last? Looks like mine will be at Xavier later this week. I'm at 39 now and will get two this afternoon downtown.

Forty first location (one to go!!!)- The School for the Creative and Performing Arts. This one used to be outside the Main branch of the Public Library. Fortunately, I read the previous posts regarding the pilfering of the piano bench...I brought my own chair! Scouts taught me one thing at least, outside of building a pinewood derby car...be prepared!

I played standing up. I do it all the time. I think this is the one that was at the library. It's just gorgeous, paint- wise, but it's taken some wear. Still it's really a cool piano...
Pretty lowlife that the bench was stolen, but not the only thievery going on downtown. The doubled rates at the parking meters had me "doubling" from piano to piano.
A dime for 3 minutes: that reminds me of the old juke-box, but, of course you got to sit back and listen back then; you didn't have to do the playing yourself.
I reckon if this piano were put at Newport on the Levee it's bench mightn't have been stolen, and our friends in KY would certainly have made fine use of it.
Check it out. It's beat-up, but it plays...

Sad to report that on the first night following the installation, someone stole the bench from SCPA's piano. :(

We'll work to get a replacement if possible!
