A wonderful story from one of your host organizations: "A woman walked into Rainey yesterday afternoon and asked why we had a beautiful piano out on the sidewalk. She asked if it was for sale or for people to play.
I explained the "Play Me, I'm Yours" project and told her that the piano was simply for people to play and enjoy.
I asked her if she knew anything about Rainey Institute. She responded that she used to come to Rainey when she was a child. She then asked about programs for her daughter, who is in kindergarten. After learning about our programs, she signed her daughter up for our After School Program in September.
The power of a piano!! It reunited us with an alum and connected a 5 year old to music and the arts."
