On this piano something magic happened that day, we met this wonderful Lady, Valena Broussard Dismukes, of African, Choctaw, and European heritage, is a Los Angeles based photo-journalist with a special interest in portrait, travel, and street photography. In addition, she is a writer and sculptor, read more here:http://www.vdismukes.com/
Since then we met again in many others differents occasions and it was a amazing experience, we have learned a lot from this wonderful woman, we will meet with her again some time soon.

Report this commentThis was my 23rd street piano, played on April 29. There was a nice little crowd here of local musicians, including the director of the Inner City Youth Orchestra of LA., all here to play and listen to the pianos. Singer-songwriter Taylor Thompson also dropped by to sing a song. I sang Ray Charles' "Georgia On My Mind" in honor of his studio being down the street from here. Unfortunately that video file got erased, so I had to go back on May 3 to do it all again!

Report this commentPiano #10 for me! More practice time. I love the uniqueness of each piano. I went inside to check out this place, and chatted with the security. This event has allowed me to meet and talk to some amazing people around town! Thank you!
