  1. John (or Paul as I remember him) was an exceptionally gifted musician.

It was a total privilege to be able to listen to him play.

It's such a pity the pianos have to go at the end of this week. They should be there for the entire summer. Even if it were just the one or two. They and the people that turn up randomly to play bring such a lot of pleasure to passers by who often don't pass by.

  2. I heard John (he said his name is John) play at a couple of locations today. Long stretches of captivating music without a break, keeping everyone around completely enthralled. Mostly improvisation. Self-taught, apparently. It was moving and inspiring. I hope he enjoyed performing; we certainly enjoyed the musical journey. Oh, and ... what a fantastic concept - street pianos! Superb!

  3. I played on Satuday and enjoyed a fantastic experience. Thank you for the opportunity
  4. What a fantastic initiative this is.

I have just spent the best part of my lunch break listening to the piano at Millenium Bridge being played. So random, so organic. I spoke with Sam who indulged me by playing Bridge Over Troubled Water. I even got to participate by holding the page down with one finger. Well, it's a start!!

I do believe, that second only to saving another human being, the ability to play music has to be the greatest gift.

Such a pity the pianos can't stay there for the whole summer.

  5. Michael plays the berimbau, accompanying the piano.
