I hesitate to hope ... but as the description of the Chinatown piano has changed, has it been moved? is it unlocked and playable? (Also the same query re Carnaby Street ...) ... is it worth taking a day or afternoon off work to try to play the pianos that have been locked or busy when I visited them? I've enjoyed playing 40 of them, albeit it some of them briefly because of the drizzle ...
I guess the logistics of looking after 50 street pianos is rather more challenging than 20-odd pianos. I have enjoyed the street pianos this year again; many thanks :) The weather could have been kinder to the pianos ...

Report this commentFor everyones information families have lived in this area for many years, our family have lived here since the 1800s. Only in recent years this area has become associated with the drinking culture and we have to now put up with idiotic drunks through the night. A piano does not help our situation.

Report this commentEvery evening the piano should be locked to allow local residents to sleep. For some reason one night it wasn't locked. (It was locked last night though as planned). Due to noise complaints we're moving the piano from this location. We'll let you know where it goes asap. In the mean time feel free to enjoy the other 49 pianos across the city. Most pianos are in locations well away from residents. All the best. LukeJerram
