I was doing a sponsored walk across Hampstead Heath for Animal Aid. 4 Laps. After each lap I played the piano for a few minutes. Music was supplied, and I played Tiptoe Through The Tulips, absolutely wonderful. Somewhat like Monty Pythons Flying Circus sketch. Mad woman in the drizzle at Parliament Hill Fields. Thanks very much for Golden Street Pianos.

Report this commentSunday lunchtime on Hampstead Heath - tapping out a tune with my cousins. Julian Barratt spotted in the background, he didn't join in.

And I did! At Parliament Hill Fields - People stopped and asked me if it was mine and I said, No it's yours - you can play it too. Children played Fur Elise and the Titanic theme and a 2 year-old sat and watched me punch the tune for 3 blind mice - I passed on a riff to a 10 year-old from a tune I learned when I was about his age. Thank you, I miss my old upright piano!

Report this commentIt was drizzling this morning; the Parliament Hill piano was well used, with several parent and child improvised duets from underneath the plastic :)
