Claude Fries of the Luxembourg City Tourist Office explains at a press conference that the initiative encourages members of the public to stop and play the decorated pianos located throughout the capital, and enjoy themselves performing a "micro-concert".
On Friday 30 May, Lydie Polfer, mayor of Luxembourg city, announced the launch of a competition in connection with the project. Members of the public are encouraged to take a short video of one of these "micro-concerts" and post it to YouTube or Facebook, then sending a link to the video (with "Luxembourg" in its title) to email: concours@lcto.lu with the name of the person who videoed the "micro-concert" and their address and telephone number.
