Report this commentDavid, 16, playing the Chopin "Scherzo No. 3 in C Sharp minor Opus. 39" on his 19th Street Piano. Love the lights changing color. We called this piano the "Cathedral" so it got the royal treatment with David playing something classical. Those around got a real concert!

Report this commentDavid playing "That's Amore" on his 19th Street Piano. Motorcycles cruising down Main Street Mesa going strong!

Report this commentDavid playing "Deep Purple" (while glowing green and pink!) on his 19th Street Piano. The glowing sculptures and changing lights are great, although David had to brush someone's cigarette butt off the keys - and it seems from previous photos that the candelabra light is missing :( Lots of rumbling motorcycles out tonight, as well as some crickets enjoying the evening music.

Report this commentWorking on my goal to play all of the street pianos set up for the Street Piano project in Mesa. My goal is to play every one and use a different song on each one. This #16 for me. The song is The Police's "Message in a Bottle."

In this photo my collaborator, Hamlet Opazo, is helping a club member at Oakwood Creative Care use a power drill to add a feature to the piano. Hamlet is the art therapist at Oakwood.

Mesa's channel 11 interviewed me and donor Frank Poole about this piano. The spot will be aired in a few weeks - so stay tuned! Thanks to Frank Poole for taking this shot.
