Working on my goal to play all of the street pianos set up for the Street Piano project in Mesa. My goal is to play every one and use a different song on each one. The end of the project is coming in a few days, so I had to do some evening recordings - some - like this are pretty dark. There were no lights around. This #21 for me.

Report this commentDavid playing a piece called "Butterflies" on his 7th Street Piano - the Butterfly piano! With the birds chirping, the breeze blowing and the flowers all around its easy to picture butterflies flitting around, too.

Report this commentThe piano here at the Mesa Urban Garden was one of our favorites. Appropriate for springtime! Here are my sons, playing Mozart and Joplin

Report this commentDavid playing "Jamaica Farewell" on his seventh Street Piano. Got a chance to meet the owner of the restaurant (República Empanada) next door. Really nice. Seems like a great Latin/South American eatery to try!

Report this commentDavid, 16, playing "Aloha 'Oe" (Farewell to Thee) on his seventh Street Piano in the Mesa Urban Garden. At the retirement home where he's played as accompanist since he was 14, he and two other elderly men who played the ukelule and the harmonica would play this one together. One of the men recently passed away. Farewell Warren.
