David, 16, playing "I'm Looking Over a Four Leaf Clover" on his 21st Street Piano. So David has been at least trying to post two different pieces at each of the 24 street pianos, but some get more, like this one. We posted 3 pieces on this piano - but they're short ones :)

Report this commentDavid playing Toot-Toot-Tootsie (Goodbye) on his 21st Street Piano. This was a fun location to play at as there was a lot of activity of people coming to the library. Have to say "Thank you" again to whoever handed David's glasses in at the Library. Probably a fellow piano player. Not sure that we would have been able to get new ones in time for David for today (Sunday April 10th) - he was playing in recitals at the Chandler Center for the Arts. So we sure appreciated getting them back!

Report this commentBeen trying to get down to Mesa to play around on the amazing pianos. I borrowed some sheet music from my mom about 2 weeks ago and had it in my car. So after church this morning I decided to go to the nearest piano and came across this beautiful one with red and blue colors and a sun painted on the sides. I decided to play "The sun will come out , Tomorrow" which was fitting for today's lovely rain storm. Never played a gorgeous painted piano, let alone outside in the rain ;) We all have trials in life and I know a lot of people that are going thru some pretty tough times. This song reminds of the Hope that tomorrow brings for a new sunny day. Grateful for this opportunity and for life! Both the good and the not so good times.

Report this commentDavid playing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" on his 21st Street Piano. See his sunglasses? At the start on this piano he had his prescription glasses hooked over the front of his shirt. We left in search of the elusive piano No.15 at the Convention Center and then drove home. At home he realized he didn't have his glasses! We watched all our videos to try to figure out if he lost them at the Library Piano or on our search for the "Hands" piano that went missing. We remembered at some point in time he had bent over to get music out of his backpack. We also saw on the first video his glasses were there on his shirt - by the last video, they weren't. So disappointed when we drove all the way back to the Library and couldn't find them by the piano. What a happy day when we asked at the counter at the library and someone had turned them in not 10 minutes before! Thank you Thank you Thank you to whoever that was!

Report this commentWorking on my goal to play all of the street pianos set up for the Street Piano project in Mesa. My goal is to play every one and use a different song on each one. The end of the project is coming in a few days, so I had to do some evening recordings. This #18 for me. The song is The Marc Cohn's "Walking in Memphis."
