David playing another oldie, "(How Much is That) Doggie in the Window" on his 23rd Street Piano. Loved seeing all the photos and comments of the history of the area and why this piano was done up the way it was, and the whole process! Wish we could have seen it at night with the headlights on.

Report this commentDavid, playing "Accentuate the Positive" on his 23rd Mesa Street Piano. Love the words to this one:
You've got to accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
Latch on to the affirmative
Don't mess with Mister In-Between
You've got to spread joy up to the maximum
Bring gloom down to the minimum
Have faith or pandemonium
Liable to walk upon the scene
To illustrate his last remark
Jonah in the whale, Noah in the ark
What did they do
Just when everything looked so dark
Man, they said we better, accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
Latch on to the affirmative
Don't mess with Mister In-Between
No, do not mess with Mister In-Between

Report this commentDavid playing "Dixieland" on his 23rd Street Piano. The bench was great - padded with fuzzy soft fabric. There were a lot of children playing in the distance and you can hear the water fountains going off (sounds like static) and the birds singing along!

At the Gala for Streetpianosmesa are Donna Langlois Dupont, Myself and Loretta Tedeschi Cuoco, the master painters. We are so happy that this project brought us together. Thanks to all those who made this possible. Our hope is that this piano brings people together to share the music and the fun. Missing from this photo is Steve Ventre who also was a great help painting.
