David playing "A Time For Us" or the "Love Theme" from Romeo and Juliet, on his last Street Piano to find, the Rogue Piano.

Report this commentDavid playing Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" on his last Street Piano, his 24th and it was piano No. 24, too - the "Rogue". When playing on the piano at Mesa Gateway Airport he was asked to play this piece, and he was able to play portions of the memorable spots from off the top of his head that everyone enjoyed. He has played the whole thing in the past, but brought the music to the Rogue piano to play just a shortened version of it for time's sake. So funny, you'll see (and hear) all the motorcycles going by - reminded us of when he played at piano No. 1 where it seemed like they were driving up and down main street over and over! Had to laugh! (Visit https://youtu.be/6jWClfUKHK8 to see David playing Rhapsody in Blue on stage :)

Report this commentDavid playing "Tea for Two" on the Rogue Street Piano in front of the Mesa Courthouse, Mesa, Arizona. This was the last piano for him to find and play - we were always wondering where it was and needed the direct clue that was posted on Twitter just shortly before the final day. You can see the piano's rain "jacket" under his backpack - it was breezy and it needed anchoring while not on the piano. Surprisingly the piano weathered the rain from the night before quite well - we had been wondering how they all would fare. We have to say Thank You to the Mesa Arts Center and all who had their hand in this project.

Report this commentDavid, playing "If I Give My Heart To You" on his last (24th) Street Piano, the elusive "Rogue". The sun was out after an evening of rain - and the piano was well taken care of - all dry underneath it's "rain jacket", so it weathered the storms. When we were done we put the cover back on since it was so windy - didn't want it to blow away!

Report this commentThis is it! The last piano left in the collection. My goal was to play all of the street pianos set up for the Street Piano project in Mesa and use a different song on each one. This #23 for me. The song is Sarah McLachlan's "Ice Cream."
