I was visiting NYC for a business trip and decided to take time out to see Lady Liberty on June 29. The weather had just cooled off when my friend and I came across the piano in Battery Park area.
The pianist was playing a melody of classical tunes -- I think I recognized 'Fur Elise" among them -- and the music just added to the pleasant evening.
Thanks to both the creator of these installations and all those who play them!

I wish this event went on all summer. It's so fun! Please bring the pianos back again next year or sooner!
Stopped by a few times to play this piano in Battery Park

My friend, Brandon Perdomo, is a flutist and we played Telemann's Suite in A minor for flute and piano. The wind started blowing so we had to hold the music down with paper clips.

I enjoyed playing the street piano in front of the Children's Museum in Snug Harbor Cultural Center in Staten Island. I also played with a recorder group and a flutist. A little girl started doing ballet dancing while we were playing.
