  5. On Sunday the 27th about 2.45 pm I took the steps going down to the Myrtle Avenue side of the park, and after a good deal of looking found a singer/piano player and photographer working together. After she stepped off the bench, I took my turn.

The thing that surprised me the most about my experience with Friend #9 (my ninth piano played) is the child that could not be older than four years old who sat down on the bench and joined me. A couple of notes here and there, but then I broke into Twinkle Twinkle LIttle Star, the little one absoluted transfixed. So transfixed that mommy and daddy had to go across the street, and the boy could not would not leave. Pathos struck, I hope that the crying does not turn into something as they did go across the street together. Sometimes it feels odd when a child takes an interest in what you play.
