  1. Wednesday evening the 30th around 7 p.m. ish. St. Mark's Church in the Bowery. Beautiful park and Church - built in 1799!!! Unfortunately there were only a few tinklers, including a 20-something who said he hadn't played in 10 years!

  2. Monday, 9:45 pm, no more drizzle, but tarp/bungees still handily in place. Plaza packed with yogurt/ice cream imbibers for this summer evening after such a hot day. Fellow before me wowing crowd with instrumental arpeggios. To follow that, I had to break out with "All Girl Band" & singing . Thanks, Dann Wojnar, for taking pictures!

  3. At St. Mark's church, an impromptu duet of Lady Gaga's "Telephone" and "Poker Face" with a new-found musician friend. He was amazing on the sax and was great on the piano. My aunt Silvia overheard a couple passing by saying, "Hey, that's the Gaga kid from Astor Place".

The man in the background looking on played after my Gaga performance. He played standards from the American Songbook - including Gershwin's "Summertime". He was great. M. Ackerman, 14

  4. I didn't notice all the World War II memorials until my husband pointed them out. Made this location all the more poignant. It was lovely and moving. Met some nice people here too. Really enjoyed this one.
