Bryan Johnston City Park
Open 8am-10pm. This piano is decorated by Willamette Girlchoir with guidance from Artists in Action.
This was an amazing and delightful experience. I had the best time finding and playing each and every piano around Salem. Thank you!

Report this commentOur family succeeded in our multi-day quest to visit all 11 pianos, but this was one of the most important to us! Alice is an enthusiastic member of Willamette Girlchoir. Also, she and her sister discovered that the playground is AWESOME at the new Bryan Johnston City Park!

Great day with my daughter (Shellbe). The Bryan Johnston Park, Play Me I'm Yours piano was our 10th of 11 stops for the day.
It was extra special for me because I knew Bryan. He was a great man - boss, mentor, leader, friend, father and husband. I know he is truly missed even today.

Report this commentThis is the fourth stop on Nick and Tristan's July 17th, 2012 bike tour of the Salem, Oregon-area, Play Me, I'm Yours, street pianos! At each of the 11 pianos both of us played a spontaneous composition (in one take only, mistakes and all!) and recorded a video. We started at 3:00 p.m., biked to each stop, and arrived at the last piano at 11:57 p.m. Glad to be a part of this project and thanks to Luke Jerram for such a phenomenal idea!

Report this commentThere's something epic about playing a piano outside, being surrounded by trees, and with the wind blowing through your hair.
