Report this commentIt was so fun last Friday night after enjoying beautiful music at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center to then enjoy beautiful music outside on the street. I was so surprised to hear piano music coming from in front of Squatters! I then noticed an incredibly painted piano just sitting on the street! A young man was playing it and providing all on the street a great concert. Music and art on the street, what a wonderful way to end a summer evening.

Report this commentWhen approaching this piano, the first thing I noticed was the vibrant colors and lines. It was almost like it was dancing. No one was playing and there wasn't any by standers. So I sat down and started playing around. Immediately I started playing all upbeat music. I was playing the jazz scale and I began improvising. It was so lively and I had so much fun. I loved that keys were dirty. It felt like I was adding to the piece of art, giving it soul. I was living my dirt on the keys, giving it a piece of me. This piano felt so lively, so lived on. I kept wondering, where did this piano come from, and where is it going? What pieces were played on this piano? I loved it.

Report this commentI love SLC! Friday we walked out of a provocative performance by SBDance and then heard a live piano performance thanks to Play Me I'm Your's. This guy was pounding on those keys, it was eargasmic to hear the music bounce off neighboring buildings and enjoy the impromptu performance with strangers. Very cool.
