no.8 of 12 on my trip, beautiful spot to play amongst the trees, was family picnics all around & wedding shoots, i play quite dark so parents were coaxing there kids away lol narrow minds, gave up for the saturday after this one was completely drained and my arms were killing, but art is pain and a good pain at that.

Somehow I THOUGHT THE FESTIVAL HAD PASSED ME BY DUE TO LIMITING ARTHRITIS.
However with a friend's encouragement i found myself on Bondi beach at dawn with several thousand? others.
Brett was inspired and the scene was set with the southern cross above a silvery sea.
The choir began softly with Hildegard of Bingen and I watched the sky change little by little to the first flush of pink then dramatic orange until as they sang"O I do like to be beside the seaside"(and indeed I do) the sun rose behind the headland. We went to Centennial Park where i found a lonely piano.
I must have been inspired by the morning as I am a humble musician because i found myself playing music to suit my observations.
Situps, dogs lapping ,birds responding to the piano and a little therapy for my troubles.
What a spot ,what a day.
Thanks to Brett , the choir, the pianos.
One of the best mornings of my life.

These photos were taken by my four year old grandaugther Leela at Centennial Park on the 13 January 09. It illustrates clearly the success of the program in bringing a diverse group of people together, Leela took these photos of the young Adar receiving an impromptu lesson from Patricia. Patricia is a piano teacher who was blinded by accident from the age of four. We have permission from Adar's mother and Patricia's companion to send the photos as well as Leela's parents
