A bit of 12 bar blues under the shade of a tree at midday.

I was tickling the ivories at Wynyard during lunchtime yesterday, when a film crew from Channel 7arrived and started shooting.
I had a bit of a chat with them afterwards, and lo and behold there I was on the 6 O' Clock news segment last night - my 15 seconds of fame !
So give it a go, and you never know when you could be on TV !!
PS The piano is a little out of tune, and missing a note or 2, but who cares .

The Girls from Sydney Legacy have taken the Wynard Station Piano on as their own.
We have been watching the piano since Monday afternoon from our office across the street – we are feeling very attached to it. We spent most of the afternoon wondering how it would cope overnight – would it still be in one piece or at all in the morning, what happens if it rains?
It is fascinating how people have been reacting to it; some people ignore it, other seem too afraid to look and some do a double-take.
Most of the people sitting down and having a tinkle on the piano are tourists – we are yet to see one business person give it a go!

Stepped off the bus amongst the anonymous crowds, to find a sad looking piano being ignored by the passing crowds. Sat down and played Pink Floyd's "The Great Gig In The Sky" and several Floyd fans unplugged their iPods, stopped and said hi.
Hey Abrie, "Chains Of Conformity" made a brief appearance since I'd captured an audience. Couldn't help myself. :-)
Sadly no picture, only a special memory for a few of us stuck in the city. It may even turn out to be a regular occurrence.
What a beautiful start to a Monday morning ! Thanks Jerram.
