this is how it looked at the end of the day's painting, there''s other pictured here of work in progress while people played... had a great day doing it.. thanks everyone
and then at the end of the day's painting and sharing with players and passing people, the piano was left covered in layers of leaves and leafhearts (as others call them) and it almost looked like a tree had grown out of the back of it. It was strange leaving the piano there on the street after spending the day with it, hope everyone looks after it and remembers to pull the plastic cover over in the rain...
thanks everyone, had a great time painting with you all...
whoops, this is the photo of Emma and Fabio that should have gone with the last posting... they both played solo and together while I painted. They hadn't met or played together before... I loved the way people just started joining in and talking to each other and playing and talking about music and different tastes and showing each other things. Some people were slow to admit they could play a little but eventually had a go and then really got with the flow of it all.... I probably could have done the painting in half the time if I hadn't been having so much fun interacting with the players and the passing people, thanks everyone!
