Played a few tunes at Battery Park. Did a duet with a young girl on a song she’s been wanting to learn—“Imagine” by John Lennon. What a beautiful song played by four hands! I helped with the main melody and chords, and she added some nice harmonics on the high end of the keys! What a terrific way to spend this beautiful day in the city!

I made my introduction to friend #1 on Tuesday evening 6/22 around 6.30 after taking a long walk around the park before finding it near the West Street entrance to the park.
It felt so very good to find the piano, and know that this exists. After getting home I went looking up the site to find where the rest of the friends live.
The first piece of a long set, the rules are stay until someone else wants the keys, was an exceprt from Pastorale Symphony no. 6 by Beethoven, after all there is a movement suggestive of downpouring rain in it and the skies looked threatening while through the set. My speed is mostly classical music with a few forays into early and 1960s rock.
Sorry for the lack of pics, but most of the set I was alone
