Yay! Finding the piano in Battery park was harder than I would have thought - its sound was half drowned out by the cacophony of car horns beeping in the street, Jamaican steel drums playing by the ferry terminal, waves crashing against the banks and airplanes zooming above our heads...

I don't actually own a piano, but I love to play, so when I heard about this project, I made a trip to NYC just to play as many as I could in one day. With a 3 year old in tow, I only got to play this one, and sadly, it wasn't the one with all the keys painted black :-) but I got to jam with this little girl and I made her smile, and that's what it's all about for me.

I usually instigate my own applause, but surprisingly afterwards so many people love the music they started without me ... ;-D ! I'm just sorry I don't get more names at the different places to tell them they might be in a photo, but I do encourage everyone to check the streetpianos.com website...
